Just finished reading Haruki Murakami‘s collection of essays on his marathon and triathalon training and not incidentally, his writing method and discipline, his raison d’etre, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. True to the inspired and inspiring tone and content, I read most of this in a two-hour StairMaster session. A confessional and insightful volume, coming for me as I’m just one book away from being completely caught up on the published works of Murakami. I thought finishing (prior to his latest coming out in English in August) with fiction would be best.
Next up on the binge-reading agenda: the complete works of Madison Smartt Bell (with time off to read Thomas Pinketty‘s Capital in the Twenty-First Century).
Shaping up to be a good summer.
Never miss out on Christopher’s events or special notices.
