From the Top Shows #330 & 331 taped in Hilo on 11/30 and in Honolulu on 12/2. Spectacular local talent, from indigenous epic opera, precocious pianistic prowess, ukulele magic and one of our country’s best youth orchestras, as well as a recent Menuhin winner, and prodigious clarinet and cello talent graced our stages this wet week in the islands.
My breakpieces are herein presented: Harold Budd’s The Room of Forgotten Children, rendered as exactly as I could, and Franz Schubert’s Impromptu in Gb Major, Op. 90 #3.
